A Cast Steel Gate valve is a type of gate valve which is made by a process called casting and by a material called Steel. Casting is a process where the material is heated and melted, the molten material is then poured into a valve mold and then allowed to cool so that it comes to the solid state. It is used to completely shut off the fluid flow or completely open the same. It is operated either manually or automatically. They require a little space along the pipeline. These valves are less complex to construct than any other types of larger valves. It consists of three components which is the body, bonnet, actuator, and trim. They are mostly used in refineries, petrochemical and process plants. They are suitable for steam, oil, water, and gas.
