Registration as a British citizen is one of the best and most common ways for minors or children under the age of 18 to get their British Citizenship. The requirements for this are lesser than that when an adult wants to be naturalised as a British citizen.
The right for the British citizen for the children is also found inside the British Nationality Act 1981, as there is a right to naturalisation as a British citizen for the adults.
The common applications that are used for registering as a British citizen are done under section 1 and section 3 of the BNA 1981. Section 1 of it is for those who were born in the UK itself and section 3 is for those who were born outside the UK.

If you are someone who is looking to get details for registering as a British citizen, you will find that in this blog.
As you scroll down, you will find out what are the different ways by which one can register as a British citizen.

What are the ways to register as a British citizen?

The several ways for children to become british citizen by registration are discussed below:

If you are born in UK after 1983 and one of your parents has the settled status since your birth or has become a british citizen- a person who has born in the Uk on or after the 1 January 1983 to non-settled or non-british parents can apply for the citizenship of Britain once one or both of your parents have become British Citizen or settled in Uk. If a person wants to meet the criteria, an application should be made by them when they are less than 18 years.

If a person has lived in the UK until they were 10 years old- a person who is born in the UK after 1 January 1983 to non british parents can apply for the citizenship if they are under the age of 18. The requirements that they must fulfil are:

10 years or older than that and have lived in Uk until they were 10
They should not have spent more than 90 days outside Uk during their stay of 10 years.
If above 10, you need to show that you are of a good character.

And there are few other ways by which a person can do registration as a british citizen like applying under a family application and more.

After finding out the ways and general requirements, you can now go and start your application process. Just remember you do it when you are below 18!!
