Hydrogen generator:
This is a type of cell having all the usual features of a cell- acidified water as electrolyte, cathode, anode and connecting cables with the exception of having a hydrogen gas outlet. Deriving electricity from the battery of the car, electrolysis takes place when water splits into hydrogen and oxygen. This hydrogen is led into the car engine where it mixes with gasoline and burns producing enhanced energy. This is again mixed with energy caused by gasoline, ultimately reducing the requirement of gasoline, but the energy so obtained giving extended mileage as high as by 40-80%. The result is gasoline saving, further leading to less gasoline bill.
Functioning:
Hydrogen generator functions as a hybrid, working in conjunction with the car’s engine. When switched on, hydrogen is released immediately. Even small quantity is found sufficient to work as fuel for a given time. With a history of using those vehicles for well over 75 years, and with a whopping more than 26,000 cars already on the roads of the US, the vehicles work reportedly with no major problem, a proof that hydrogen cars are safe and reliable.
Building a hydrogen generator:
To
build hydrogen generator is easy and simple. For normal requirements, this could be done on “Do It Yourself” basis with expenditure not overshooting $100.
The articles required are: Stainless steel plates 6”X3”—12 Nos., 6”X1 ½”—4 Nos., and 1” connecting plates –3 Nos. with lengths-6”, 4 1/2” and 3 ¼”-- all the three types of plates of 20 gauge having holes at the top and bottom. The rough edges around the holes in the plates are smoothed first with a belt sand paper, and then with a 100 point sand paper along diagonal directions similar to ‘X’ for obtaining increased surface area for production of more hydrogen (more area, more hydrogen).
The positive and negative electrodes, connected to the engine battery, are immersed in the electrolyte--acidic water in a non-corrosive cylindrical container- with hydrogen exclusively taken into engine assembly for working as fuel. Oxygen and water produced are harmless. Versatile, this generator works on all cars- gasoline or diesel. Building process would take not more than a few hours once you get ready with the stainless plates. When put into use, it gives a generous mileage.
One tip is that while you run on hydrogen, keep your car engine cool for increased mileage.
