Alloy steel pipe of SS 304 Pipe Fittings is made of steel with the inclusion of numerous elements that improve its physical, mechanical, or particular chemical properties.

In combination with:


Aluminum: It deoxidizes molten steel as well as produces fine grain steel. Sulfur is an impurity that is generally kept at a reduced rate. Manganese: The basic element in all commercial stainless steel 304L sheet steels and Duplex 2205 Flanges; manganese is applied to all steels as a deoxidizing as well as desulfurizing agent, but when the manganese level exceeds 1%, the steel is designated as a manganese alloy steel. It not only deoxidizes but also neutralises the adverse effects of sulphur, making lamination, moulding, and other hot work activities easier. It also improves hardening penetration and adds to its resistance as well as hardness. It narrows the critical range of temperature of Duplex 2205 Pipe Fittings.


Molybdenum: Heat treatment improves the characteristics of Carbon Steel ERW Pipe. Its alloy with steel generates carbides and partially dissolves in ferrite, increasing its toughness and hardness. Molybdenum significantly reduces the transition point. Molybdenum is useful for optimising the hardenability properties of oil or air due to this reduction. Except for carbon, it has the highest hardening effect and hardness.



Nickel: Improves heat treatment qualities by lowering the hardening as well as distortion temperatures of tempered stainless steel 316l sheet. Nickel alloy raises the critical temperature without forming carbides or oxides. This enhances resistance while maintaining ductility. Chromium is frequently combined with nickel to achieve the ductility and durability of nickel as well as the resistance to abrasion and toughness of chrome.


Silicon is utilised in SS 316L Pipe as a deoxidizer and hardener. It forms a brittle material with minimal hysteresis loss and high magnetic permeability when applied to very low carbon steels. Silicon, together with other alloying elements such like manganese, chromium, & vanadium, is primarily utilised in ss 321 plate to stabilise carbides.
