Old Town Albuquerque History (Short Version)

Governor Francisco Cuervoy Valdez established Old Town in 1706. The district is now the crown jewel of Albuquerque. It precedes the establishment of America by 70 years. Old Town follows the traditional Spanish pattern. It has a public square at the center surrounded by churches, homes, and businesses.
